SUMMER WINE EXHIBITION

Visit the Last of the Summer Wine exhibition inside Compo’s House, where there’s a collection of photographs and memorabilia or opt for a guided 10 mile tour of the area.

HOLMFIRTH VINEYARD

Holmfirth Vineyard is a beautiful seven acre vineyard set in 360 degree views of the national peak district with purpose built visitors centre and restaurant.

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

One of the most unique small gigging venues, The Picturedrome in Holmfirth, hosts live concerts in this funky old cinema nearly every weekend from favourites like Billy Bragg, and Bad manners.

DIGLEY RESERVOIR WALK

Located towards the south-west of Holmfirth are two popular circular walks around the Digley Reservoir. For those looking for a short stroll alongside woods and through fields, the short walk is approximately 1.2 miles long and is an ideal walk for families.

THE THONGS & WOLFSTONE HEIGHTS WALK

A 3.92 miles walk from the centre of Holmfirth to the twin villages of Netherthong and Upperthong taking in Wolfstone Hieghts which is one of the valleys finest viewpoints.

HOLMFIRTH FOLK FESTIVAL

There has been a folk festival in Holmfirth for about 30 years. The Festival has gone from strength to strength and prides itself on producing a community based festival involving schools, local talent, most businesses in the town and, of course, a small army of volunteers. The Holmfirth folk festival has something to offer for everyone! Be sure to plan in advance if you want to be part of the experience.

HOLMFIRTH DUCK RACE

The Holmfirth Duck Race is a charity event involving the pouring of many, many, MANY plastic ducks (not real ones, we need to stress this!) into the river alongside the Sands recreation ground in sunny Holmfirth. Money raised goes to local charities and good causes in your area. It’s quite the event to see!

HOLMFIRTH ARTWEEK

One of the UK’s Largest Open Art Exhibitions, featuring over 400 exhibitors and over 2,000 artworks, plus dozens of fringe venues across the local area with thousands more works of art and craft, be sure to check the dates if you are interested.
